1. Applying for a position
a) Browse our full catalog of jobs by clicking on the latest jobs section at the top of the page. From here you will be able to view both the featured and the regular postings within ILSjobBank.com.
b) To filter the jobs, click the check-boxes under the latest jobs heading or the “browse by…” options on the right hand side of the page
c) To view more details of any job you are interested click on the bold name of the position e.g. Commercial lines representative.
d) Once here you can print out the vacancy, “Star” a job which adds it to your main dashboard page for later review, apply online or directly to the employer in the manner stated in the “How to Apply” section.
2. Step by Step – Uploading a resume:
a) Create an account or if you have already registered, enter user your username and password.
b) Click on “Resumes” under the dashboard section.
c) Enter Resume details:
- Resume Title
- Resume Summary
- Resume Category (optional)
- Add Resume Photo (optional)
- Add a desired salary (optional)
- State the desired type of position (optional)
- Add your contact details, email, telephone or mobile
- Enter you current location, then click the “find address/location” button
- Continue by filling in the remaining education, experience and skills and specialties sections
- Click the save button to move to the next screen
d) Review resume and link to a website if applicable.
e) Your resume is has now been submitted to the moderators for approval. Once this is done the resume will be publicly available. This process usually takes half a day.
3. Step by Step – Preferences
Please be sure to fill in the preferences section when you post a resume on ILSjobBank.com. This will help us match you with your ideal career.
a) Navigate to preferences from your dashboard menu.
b) (optional) Edit your availability letting employers know either when you are free or for how long. Leave this section blank to communicate you can start as soon as possible.
c) Add in your career status to show if you are actively looking, open to new opportunities, or not actively looking for employment.
d) Fill in the “Are you willing to relocate” field and “Are you willing to travel” fields. As we represent companies nationwide, these options are very important to our recruiters.
e) Lastly, input some details within the “Other information” field to control what jobs automatically appear on your dashboard main page. For example, if you are only looking for temporary or part time jobs, only those jobs would be recommended to you every time you sign in.
